HOW TO PROPERLY CLEAN A DOG'S EARS?

Ear cleaning - a seemingly simple job, but not necessarily simple for all dog owners. Cleaning the ears properly, getting the dog to cooperate, making both parties happy, and not tormenting, both need tips. Please try the following steps:

PETS HAPPINESS

- Choose a fun time of day to announce to your boss in a cheerful voice.

- The best time to clean the ears is after the dog has had a cool bath, after a walk outside, and after the dog has slept through the night.

- Place a specialized ear cleaner in your pet's ear canal.

- Use one hand to gently pull the earlobe, and the other hand to drip water to flush the water deep into the ear canal.

- Take care not to let the tip of the bottle touch the ear because it is easy to contaminate the ear cleaner.

- Gently massage the base of the ear for 3-4 minutes, then let the pet pick the ear comfortably. This movement helps the ear cleaner soften the dirt and the animal shakes its head to push the dirt out.

- Use a cotton ball or soft gauze to gently wipe away any visible dirt in the ear canal and repeat on the other side.

- Apply as directed by your doctor (same as step 2). Gently massage the base of the ear for 2-3 minutes.

- Finally… what are you waiting for, if you don't reward the children who cooperate well.

Some note:

PETS HAPPINESS

- Some Cocker Spaniels have too much earwax (inherited).

- Dogs with long ear canals, such as Bassett, may have a lot of earwax.

- The English Bulldog breed has many folds on the ears and often has skin problems and allergies, so it can easily lead to ear infections.

- Poodle's ears often grow hairs, sometimes forming tufts, making the ears prone to inflammation.

- Dogs with allergies or those who love to swim are prone to a lot of earwax buildup.

When to see the doctor? When your dog has one of the following signs:

- Pain manifests when you touch your ear or don't want to touch it.

- There is a bad smell in the ear or discharge from the ear.

- Frequent shaking of the head, scratching or rubbing of.

- Swollen ears.

- Dogs need ear cleaning, you can't do it yourself at home.
