20 Cutest Dog Breeds Around the World
All dogs are pretty cute. The challenge to choose just 20 of the cutest dog breeds was impossible. But we rose to the challenge and this is what we came up with.
Do you agree? What cute dog breeds did we miss? (tons, we know!)
1. Jack Russell Terrier
These little devils are so cute, it’s hard staying mad at them even while they destroy your home (true story). They are smart, funny and fearless.
2. French Bulldog
These adorable pooches maitain their baby-like personality throughout their lives and you’ll be hard pressed to find someone they don’t like. Absolutely love getting attention.
3. Pembroke Welsh Corgi
I may sound weird but, as cute as their faces are (very!), it’s their little wiggly bottoms that completely blow the cute-meter (honestly, have you seen a Corgi walking away? Very strong-willed, but sweet.
4. Dachshund
These pooches have the sweetest eyes and funny shape! They come off as a bit shy, but are very sweet and incredibly smart and easy to train.
5. Golden Retriever
Goldens can be a bit of a handful. They sound like a great idea until they’re destroying your home or taking you for a walk instead of the other way around. Absolutely devoted to their owners and love small children.
6. Cocker Spaniel
Very strong-willed with usually very big personalities. But they’re also sweet pups who love their families fiercely, a true joy to live with (if you comply with their demands, of course).
7. Basset Hound
They have this constant sad look in their eyes, but are actually pretty playful. Watching them navigate their long ears is quite the entertainment. Very attached to their families, very loving and protective.
8. Boxer
Boxers are great family dogs, particularly if you have small children. They’re playful and highly energetic, but are also big cuddle bugs. Perfect for an outdoorsy family.
9. Beagle
Beagles have a very quaint personality. They’ll love their family but pretty much ignore anyone else (unless there’s food involved, of course). Very independent and strong-willed.
10. English Bulldog
English boxers look like grumpy old men but their personality is very toddler-like. They love being pampered but they’ll also pretend to be deaf if they don’t want to do what your’re commanding. So no, not the easiest to train.
11. Husky
Huskies are complainers and they like to do it very vocally, which is the cutest thing ever to witness! Very smart (too smart some would say) and very protective of their families.
12. Chow Chow
Beautiful and exotic, chow chows are one of the hardest breeds to handle. They have a very specific, cat-like personality. Some would say they’re aren’t really fully domesticated. With a blue tongue to boost!
13. Australian Sheperd
Beautiful, loving and very protective dogs. The perfect nany, because all they love doing is rounding up their herd aka family. Very high energy, hard to tire.
14. Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
The ultimate lap dogs, they are one of the quietest breeds around. Very loving and delicate, but love playtime.
15. Labrador Retriever
Boisterous, sensitive, faithful and very loving. Will eat just about anything they can find. Very funny dogs to watch.
16. Portuguese Water Dog
Great with children, love both play and cuddling time. Remain cute and good-humoured pretty much their entire lives.
17. Pug
Some may say pugs have a face only a mother would love, but we think they’re very cute. With a very friendly personality to boost, they are loving and dedicated.
18. German Shepherd
German sheperds are one of the goofiest breeds ever! They have toddler personalities than can go from very well-behaved to very mischievous, depending on how you train them. They’re very high energy and require constant challenges.
19. Yorkshire Terrier
Tougher than they look, yorkshires can be very feisty when they want too. But mostly, they just want to be loved on with a little bit of playtime on the side.
20. Great Dane
These sweet tempered giants will not go unnoticed wherever they go. Beautiful and gentle, living with a great dane is a joy,
