The old dog instinctively walked more than 90 kilometers to his old home

Cleo, a four-year-old dog, moved into her current home with her owner last year. However, a week ago, she mysteriously disappeared and no one knew where she went.

Although the family members have adapted quite well to their new home, it seems that Cleo still preferred the old one. So she went back to her old house.

Her previous home was a lengthy 90 kilometers away from her new one. However, the new owners of her old house were quite surprised to see her on their porch when they came home one day.

Cleo didn’t know that the house she had lived in for many years now had a new owner, so she refused to let the new homeowners inside the house.

Fortunately, they were able to get her microchip scanned and realized that she belonged to the previous owners. After reaching out, they were able to get Cleo’s owners to come from Kansas to pick her up (across state lines in Missouri).

Of course, they were glad to see Cleo unharmed, but they were still unsure how she got back. One theory is that someone had picked her up and—realizing that her microchip was registered to the home in Missouri—attempted to return her home. The alternative is that she walked.

Either way, the fact that she made it back to her old home: Cleo is one determined doggy!
