Numerous people and animals have the condition known as vitiligo, which causes the pigment-producing skin cells to disappear (melanocytes).

In Finland, Santeri Frilander and his father, Blaze, a 10-year-old Labrador Retriever, reside. His entire body was covered in vitiligo spots until about a year ago, despite the fact that he was born with an all-black coat.

The white tint “started spreading from a little spot on his ear,” Frilander said. Interesting enough, all of his sisters and brothers are still one color.

Blaze has vitiligo. Dogs can also get it, but people tend to get it more commonly. He is nevertheless able to enjoy his regular life in spite of this. Despite his new appearance, he is completely healthy and active because vitiligo just affects the appearance and nothing else.

His human said, “He’s always willing to go wherever you go.” He even likes taking road trips in his car.

When his human posted pictures of Blaze online, he suddenly gained popularity. Blaze attracted a lot of attention and people couldn’t get enough of his alluring looks.

Santeri continued, “He likes to make people smile and happy. The titles “The Old Man” and “The Funny Old Man” have been given to him, who is now 10, as a result of his advanced age.

Blaze is such a cute dog. Luckily, the disease does not affect his health.
