2-year-old girl helps a sick and dying shelter dog recover

Scarlett was a Pit Bull living inside a cage in an animal shelter. She used to shiver all the time, emit a foul smell from her body, and had a runny nose. Then, one day, Audra Spurio arrived at the shelter with her daughter Gigi, nicknamed G. she was looking for a canine friend for her daughter.

Scarlett’s skin was inflamed due to mange, and her swollen feet were also infected with staph. The dying Pit Bull used to stay in her cage all alone. Gigi pointed at the Pit Bull and said, “Mommy, that one.”

The shelter had not given the poor dog any name. The name Scarlett was given by Audra. Gigi wanted to spend all her time at the animal shelter with Scarlett. She asked her mother to let the dog out because she needed help. When they attempted to take Scarlett out, the poor dog panicked and refused to walk.

Gigi took the leash and was very patient with the dog. The little girl and the Pit Bull developed an unbreakable bond. The dog would not let Gigi go out of her sight. The two would explore the garden together and enter the dog house together.

Gigi would wipe Scarlett’s goopy eyes and runny nose with her dress. She repeatedly looked at Audra and said that the dog was sick and needed help. The little girl would also give Scarlett hugs, kisses, and belly rubs.

The innocent girl could have cared less about how bad the dog smelled. The poor dog started to shake uncontrollably when they put Scarlett back inside her cage. However, Gigi refused to leave by her side. She kept telling her mom that the dog was sick and needed help. Finally, after Gigi’s repeated attempts, Audra decided to adopt Scarlett.

Once the Pit Bull reached home, she started to feel much better. However, she would still never let Gigi go out of her sight. Instead, they would play with balloons, sit in the back seat of the car, and share lollipops.
