Pit Bull About To Be Put Down Extends Her Paw To A Man Wishing He’ll Save Her

Ellie the Pit Bull was a bright-eyed young puppy when she was adopted by a family in Jackson, Tennessee. She was ecstatic to have humans treating her like a princess all the time.

However, her happiness dwindled away over the months just because she began growing up and wasn’t “a cute puppy” anymore.

Ellie was always an “adorable accessory” for her family, who never actually considered her as a soul with feelings. They got tired of her presence as she grew bigger, and eventually surrendered her to a high kill shelter.

When asked about the reason for surrender, the family shamelessly fussed over how she “wasn’t cute anymore”.

For Ellie, the sudden abandonment was a bolt from the blue. She waited for her humans and beat herself up thinking she was being punished.

Her depression and shyness caused her to be overlooked by potential adopters, which eventually moved her up on the kill list.

On the day of Ellie’s scheduled euthanization, she sensed her bitter fate and resigned to a corner in her kennel.

Suddenly, a man named Jon Patel walked up to her with curiosity. Jon was intrigued by Ellie’s eerily quiet demeanor in the noisy shelter.

Finding Jon at her kennel, Ellie desperately extended her paw to reach out to him with the saddest look on her face.

She bowed her head in defeat as Jon grabbed her paw, like she was begging to be saved – and he immediately knew he had to adopt this sweet pooch.

While Jon was not looking to get a Pit Bull, he quickly called his wife, Kayla, to tell her about Ellie. The couple agreed to adopt her, but was unable to take her home right away.

They somehow convinced the management to hold off Ellie’s euthanization for a few days while they prepped their home for her.

Jon and Kayla delivered on their promise and happily took Ellie to her true forever home! Ellie’s eyes sparkled with joy as she finally realized her shelter days were over.

She is now living like a queen with her beloved humans who adore her innocent, ray-of-sunshine personality, and are committed to her for life! Yay!
