From Shirt to Bed: A Heartwarming Tale of a Senior Dog’s Favorite Resting Place

Molly has been a cherished member of her family since she was just a tiny pup. She adores her humans and wants to be by their side at all times, even when they’re fast asleep. Travis Wahl recently returned to his parents’ home and was thrilled to reunite with his beloved Molly. Despite her old age of 14 years, Wahl still sees her as the little puppy he got when he was just 12. According to Wahl, Molly has been his faithful companion for more than half of his life. He mentioned that Molly loves listening to him play the guitar and sometimes he sings Barry Manilow’s “Copacabana” for her with modified lyrics that suit her personality. Although Molly used to sleep on someone’s bed every night during her younger years, due to her old age and size, it has become challenging for her to hop on and off beds. Therefore, she has started sleeping with one of Wahl’s shirts every night to feel closer to him. Even though it is taking some time for her to adjust to this new routine, Molly continues to show her loyalty towards her family.

Molly has a unique habit of choosing her sleeping companion for the night. She loves to snuggle up with any shirt that belongs to Wahl, whether it’s lying on the floor or nearby. It’s almost as if she cherishes the scent of Wahl and feels like she’s sharing a bed with him. If she can’t find a shirt, she doesn’t mind grabbing anything in sight, be it a sock or a towel, regardless of its cleanliness. As long as it bears Wahl’s scent, Molly finds comfort in sleeping with it.
