Great Dane so neglected she looked like a 'skeleton' is now living a pampered existence on a farm - with the doggy soulmate she met after being rescued

Prepare to be deeply moved by the heartwarming journey of Cindy, a Great Dane, who was rescued from severe neglect and brought back to health by the loving efforts of a sanctuary in Sri Lanka. This resilient pup faced life-threatening pressure sores and weighed only two and a half stone when she arrived at the Animal SOS Sri Lanka sanctuary.

Through the dedication and care of the shelter's founder, Kim Cooling, and her team, Cindy made a remarkable recovery. During her stay at the sanctuary, she formed an inseparable bond with Eddy, a Jack Russel mix who was also recovering from a traumatic past.

Their beautiful friendship caught the eye of Sean Burke, a compassionate animal lover from the UK, who vowed to adopt Cindy once she regained her strength. Witnessing Cindy's plight deeply moved him, and he couldn't bear to see such a gentle giant suffer any longer.

After six months of tender care, Cindy's weight more than doubled, and she was ready to embark on her new life in the UK with Eddy. Sean spared no expense to bring them home, covering their travel costs and ensuring their safe journey.

Now living on a farm in Cheshire, Cindy and Eddy are thriving, enjoying the vast grounds, playful adventures, and companionship with Sean's other dogs. Despite some mischief, Sean knows the joy and love they bring to his life far outweigh any challenges.

This touching story serves as a heartwarming reminder of the transformative power of love and care. Witness the incredible resilience of Cindy as she finds her forever home and a loving family. Share this touching tale with others to spread the beauty of animal rescue and the bonds that form between man's best friend and their human companions.
