“Wiley the Dalmatian: A Canine Sweetheart with a Heartwarming Feature”
Meet Wiley, a charming Dalmatian whose heart-shaped marking on his nose has made him an internet sensation. With over 120k followers on Instagram, the one-year-old spotted dog has won the hearts of people worldwide. According to his owner, Lexi Smith, Wiley is a bundle of joy, weighing 54 pounds and possessing a mix of goofy, clumsy, sassy, cuddly, curious, wild, crazy, silly and happy traits. While his pictures are lovely, they do not do justice to his overall personality, which Lexi describes as her best friend.
Last year on Saint Patrick’s Day, Wiley made his way to Colorado from Oklahoma and found a loving home with Smith. Although Wiley’s distinct markings make him easily noticeable, Smith states that it wasn’t the only reason why she decided to adopt him.
When faced with the decision of which puppy to choose from a litter of 11, it was a difficult choice for me. Out of the 11 puppies, 8 were males and I wanted to make sure I picked the right one for me. Although the heart of the puppy I chose was evident, I wasn’t sure how his spots would turn out as dalmatian spots tend to change as they grow. However, what sealed the deal for me was when the breeder mentioned that this particular puppy loved to sleep, snuggle, and eat – just like me.
The cute and drowsy pup that was introduced to her has transformed into an energetic dog with a unique character. The young lady, who is now 26 years old, expressed that Wiley possesses more character traits than any other charming dog she’s come across.
Thankfully, Wiley is fortunate enough to reside in a region that offers ample opportunities for the gorgeous pooch to expend its pent-up energy.
According to Smith, trekking ranks high on his list of preferred pastimes. He expressed gratitude for being a resident of Colorado, an area endowed with extensive scenic landscapes that offer boundless opportunities for exploration and fun. The adventurer particularly revels in hiking or taking his furry friend to any of the numerous spacious dog parks in the region.
The little furry friend loves car rides and makes sure to sit in a position that allows him to see out of the front window. He’s like a co-pilot! However, when he gets tired, his ultimate preference is to snuggle up and relax.
According to his owner, this incredibly charming dog is not just cuddly but can also be quite obstinate, which is a typical characteristic of Dalmatians.
The unique characteristics of Wiley, my beloved Dalmatian, never fail to bring a smile to my face. Even though his stubbornness can be frustrating at times, I can’t help but laugh and shake my head in amusement. As a Dalmatian owner, it’s important to have a sense of humor and come up with creative solutions to overcome their mischievous behavior. Without these qualities, life with a Dalmatian would be quite a challenge.
Smith is grateful for Wiley’s occasional stubbornness, as she believes it adds to his personality. She considers herself fortunate to have a dog with such a good heart, and not just the one on his nose. Wiley loves meeting new people and is always eager to make friends. He has been easy to train and is the perfect adventure companion. Although he requires a lot of attention and is always by her side, Smith adores him for it.

Smith’s idea to showcase Wiley on the web started with her passion for taking photos. Initially, I created an account to document my dog Wiley’s growth and keep a record of all the stages and events in his life. It was intended only for me and my close friends to view. However, as the account began to gain traction, I couldn’t help but think about how incredible it would be if he garnered 5,000 followers. Little did I know that the account would flourish into what it is today and still continue to grow. I am constantly surprised and grateful for the support we have received. This journey has been nothing short of exciting!

What’s on my agenda for the day? No surprises here – I’ll be gnawing on every object within reach and flaunting my irresistible charm.

My mother always tells me to remain humble, but sometimes I joke around and say, “make sure you capture my good side,” as though I have a bad side.
