Adopted Dog Brutus Wakes Mom Up In The Night To Take Her To Baby Who Was Having A Seizure

We all feel as though our dogs are super special and caring creatures, but this story of an abandoned pit bull with a heart of gold and razor-sharp senses really takes the cake.

This news story posted by FOX23 News Tulsa shares how a local dog named Brutus was loved by everyone he came into contact with, and how his adoptive family came to find that he possessed incredible senses that would help their little boy living with a seizure disorder.

Found scared and completely alone in an abandoned house in North Tulsa, Oklahoma, Brutus, a brown and white pit bull, was first noticed by someone in his neighborhood. The good Samaritan neighbor then took it upon himself to call Unchain Oklahoma, a rescue organization for abused and abandoned pets.

The organization later learned that Brutus was left completely on his own after his family experienced some trouble with the law and later fled.

“The house was open,” Melody Parkins from Unchain OK tells FOX23. "Dog food had been left on the floor. A lot of personal items were still there."

Melody and her husband ended up fostering Brutus as they waited for someone to adopt him. As they spent time with the dog, they decided to properly train him, which Brutus took to right away.

Finally, Brutus was adopted by the Hawkins family with a toddler boy named Jason and it was almost like fate stepped in.

During his first week in their home, Brutus suddenly appeared at Jason’s mother's bedside in the middle of the night to try and wake her up. Brutus eventually got Amber up and led her to Jason’s room, where the toddler was having a seizure.
