Baby Leo Has The Most Beautiful Smile When He Gets His Glasses And Sees His Mommy For The First Time
I’ve found that people who are born with certain conditions are often the most cheerful that I know. Perhaps it’s because they have known nothing else in life – the blind only having darkness, the deaf only in silence – you get the idea. But what if you had a chance to have that changed when you were a baby? What would your reaction be?
Take a look at this video of a baby named Leo. We see Leo in a baby chair, and his mommy puts a pair of glasses on him. He’s getting the glasses because he was born with a condition called Oculocutaneous albinism – his hair, skin, and his eyesight are all affected. The glasses are going to help him in regards to his eyesight.
It’s going to be interesting to see what happens when he suddenly realizes that he’s able to see the world around him – and his mommy. There’s a bit of a delayed reaction on Leo’s part as he’s kind of minding his own business for a bit after having the glasses put on, but then there’s the dawning of recognition that he’s looking at his mommy’s face.
He gets the goofiest and yet endearing grin on his face. That makes his mommy so happy. I’m sure that this is a video moment that she will cherish for the rest of her life. Technology is amazing. The fact that Leo can wear these glasses at such a young age will make his life so much easier.
Oculocutaenous albinism is very rare, with 1 in 20,000 people getting it yearly. Leo is lucky that he has a mommy and daddy who care very much about him and want to get him the best care that he can. Some babies who are born in less developed areas might not have access to this and live in blindness.
