They had left him there, on the side of the road, without any kind of help. The dog was unable to move, with an enormous tumor hanging in his stomach area. Given his terrible health conditions, he was completely at the mercy of events, and so a team of volunteers decided to take care of him.

The dog was waiting for his savior, but no one was showing up at his doorstep.

They took him with them and urgently brought him to their trusted clinic, where the staff knew how to provide him with all the necessary care. In addition to being plagued by the disease, he stopped eating. The sacred fire had gone out, and there was no way to put the pieces of his spirit back together. The veterinarians took him in for exams, X-rays, and ultrasound tests. Along with the medical report came another blow to the heart, as he suffered from several health complications, including hookworms, anemia, and malnutrition.

Named Midnight, the dog would undergo surgery, a delicate but absolutely necessary step to say goodbye to the terrible illness. In the meantime, the staff at the facility grew quite fond of him because he was special. Since his platelet count was quite low, the operation had to wait a bit longer. As the situation continued to worsen, the doctors gathered their courage, and after further blood tests, they took the dog to surgery.

Everything went well, and the tumor, which had actually attacked his testicles, was removed. The enormous foreign body weighed 2.2 kg, a burden that was difficult to bear. After the surgery, the dog regained strength and started taking his first steps. To the amazed looks of his saviors, he was able to find the energy within himself and from then on had people who would love him by his side.
