Two-legged poodle rescued by owner encourages baby sister to walk

Zack Show founded the “Marley’s Mutts Dog Rescue” to help more dogs like Marley, the Rottweiler-Pitbull, who loved him unconditionally. Recently, when Zack & Heather found Cora Rose, her emotional state showed that she did not have much will to live.

The poodle had met with an accident and had broken both of her front legs. So, the couple took her to the Bakersfield Veterinary Hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, the dog was in tremendous pain and did not like to be petted.

Zack knew they had to allow her to fight, which meant both her front legs needed to be amputated. After the surgery, they brought Cora Rose home. The couple had made a cozy kennel for the miniature poodle with a personal heater.

According to Zack, Cora Rose started to show her actual self once the rehabilitation process began. She began to stand on her own. She wouldn’t take no for an answer. The poodle always tried to walk and move around.

She started to use her hind legs to get up and even started to eat & drink on her own. Soon, Cora Rose started to jump and hop, which made the couple really happy. She rapidly improved after she realized that she could do better.

According to Zack, when Cora Rose was rehabilitated completely, she realized that she was the Ellen DeGeneres of two-legged dogs. The happy dog shared the positive energy with everybody. The couple believed that the poodle’s energy was infectious and could improve people’s lives.

Cara Rose also adored her baby sister, Shiloh, the couple’s daughter, to the point that she even encouraged her to learn how to walk. Shiloh was a 2-year-old who could speak only a few words. However, the little one had already learned to call the poodle by her name. This showed how much she loved her as well.
