Brave police dog is overjoyed when he meets his new baby sister

Sonny is a tough police dog who turns into a big softie when he’s with his new baby sister, Reagan. Jason has been working with Sonny for three and a half years now.

When their department needed a K-9 program, Jason got Sonny, and they spent every waking moment together. They learned to trust each other, and now they always watch each other’s backs.

Jason spends most of his shift in his car, and Sonny is there to keep him company. Sonny will pop out from the back of the vehicle and rest his head on Jason’s shoulder.

When Jason’s wife was pregnant, he was worried about how Sonny would react to the baby. Sonny was used to a particular routine at home, and there was no way to train him for such a huge life change.

They noticed a change in Sonny’s demeanor right away. He would lay his head on Jason’s wife’s belly. Sonny knew that everything was going to be different.

Jason said that Sonny was an absolute dream when their baby came home. When Sonny hears the baby crying, he wants to go to her room to be with her.

It couldn’t have been a more perfect transition for Sonny and the baby. He makes their family stronger, and that’s why Jason sometimes refers to Sonny as a part-time therapy dog.
