Hadley is trying to train her dog Gauge to give her his paw in this precious clip.

I set out to teach Gauge a new trick after watching an impressive online video. Gauge, my bright companion, seemed like the ideal pupil for this challenge. Armed with patience, I began with a simple prompt— "Give me your paw." Yet, Gauge looked at me as if I spoke a different language.

Undeterred, I tried a different approach, offering a treat alongside the command. Curiosity sparked in Gauge's eyes as he sniffed the treat and then, in a moment of understanding, placed his paw in my hand to claim the reward. His efforts earned praise and a tasty treat.

This is just the start of our training journey. I'm committed to working with Gauge until he perfects this trick. Who knows? Maybe one day, his clever paw moves will captivate the internet.
