Boy Was Saving Up To Buy Puppy, Grandma Asks Him To Close His Eyes & Stretch His Arms

Xander Mellor, 6, of Springfield, Illinois, has been putting money aside for a dog for the previous 18 months. He would respectfully ask Natalie Ellenburg for any spare change she had when she got home from work and put it in his savings container.

Because he desired a dog of his own, Xander avoided purchasing sweets and delectable items. When his grandparents learned about his endearing mission, they made the decision to visit him to fulfill his wish!

In this video, as soon as Xander spots his grandparents' car, he sprints out of the house with joy. Grandma motions for him to close his eyes and hold out his hands for a "present" as he approaches the car door.

The child is 'all smiles' as he waits for Grandma's gift, but as an adorable little puppy is placed in his arms, his eyes widen in complete disbelief!

Xander attempts to give Grandma a thankful grin, but he finds it difficult to hold back his tears. The distraught child eventually starts to smile while holding his beloved pet. We hope Xander spends many happy and exciting years creating memories with his furry friend!
